Palo Alto Networks has concluded the acquisition of Talon Cyber Security, a leading enterprise browser technology provider, enhancing the capabilities of its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. Integrating Talon’s Enterprise Browser with Prisma SASE aims to fortify the cybersecurity giant’s position in delivering robust security and data protection for users across diverse applications and devices. Palo Alto Networks plans to extend the advanced Enterprise Browser technology to eligible SASE AI customers without additional charges.
As the contemporary work landscape witnesses increased usage of personal and unmanaged devices for accessing critical business applications, Palo Alto Networks addresses security challenges by offering a comprehensive SASE solution. Talon’s Enterprise Browser contributes an extra defense against phishing attacks, web-based threats, and malicious browser extensions. The technology also provides extensive controls to prevent the unauthorized transmission of sensitive data beyond the browser confines, even on devices not managed by the enterprise.
Palo Alto Networks Prisma SASE, a secure foundation for agile, cloud-enabled organizations, gains substantial productivity benefits from integrating with Talon. This collaboration enables the secure use of unmanaged devices while maintaining consistent security measures and enhanced visibility into device usage. The acquisition underscores Prisma SASE’s status as a comprehensive single-vendor SASE solution, offering customers a unified approach to Zero Trust security. Prisma SASE, coupled with the Enterprise Browser, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding all web applications, whether public or private, across both managed and unmanaged devices.
