Newline Europe, a subsidiary of Newline Insurance Company Limited, announced Johannes Beckers as its new Head of Cyber Liability. The company aims to strengthen its cyber risk management throughout the European Economic Area (EEA). Beckers, who recently served as Senior Underwriter at Zurich Gruppe Deutschland, brings over ten years of underwriting experience and expertise as a speaker and author on cyber risk.
Manuel Wirtz, CEO of Newline Europe, emphasized the value Beckers adds to the team. “Johannes’ wealth of knowledge and experience is a tremendous asset to our team. We are confident that his deep understanding of cyber risks will enable us to offer innovative solutions that meet our clients’ unique needs,” Wirtz said.
Bob Pollock, CEO of Newline Group, noted the strategic move to establish a Cyber practice in Cologne. “Establishing a Cyber practice in Cologne demonstrates our commitment to deliver local, specialized expertise to meet the needs of the growing global cyber market,” he said.
Beckers, based in Cologne, will report directly to Wirtz and focus on expanding Newline Europe’s cyber liability insurance capabilities.
