Meeting cyber insurance policy demands is an evolving reality as organizations face increasing cyber threats across both on-premises and cloud environments. “In 2024, 48% of organizations had to make changes to their security posture to meet the criteria of the cyber insurance policy they chose,” said Michael Tweddle, Chief Product Officer at Netwrix. In response, Netwrix has released an upgraded version of its cybersecurity solution, Netwrix Threat Manager 3.0, which now empowers customers to detect and respond to threats across hybrid IT infrastructures.
Netwrix Threat Manager 3.0 expands its protection to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), alongside its existing support for on-premises Active Directory (AD). This extended coverage offers real-time alerting for suspicious activities and automated responses that help minimize the impact of security breaches. The upgrade aims to assist organizations in protecting their sensitive data while meeting the evolving demands of modern cyber insurance policies.
Hybrid IT Infrastructure
A Senior Systems Engineer at a U.S.-based non-profit that participated in the beta testing praised the solution, noting that it provides greater control and visibility across both cloud and on-premises environments. They said, “The product demonstrated the capability to provide greater control and visibility, which we believe could make it easier for organizations like ours to manage data security across hybrid infrastructure.”
The new version of Threat Manager helps customers prevent attack escalation by detecting improper changes in AD and Entra ID, including abnormal user behavior and modifications to sensitive roles like Global Admin. Additionally, the system automates threat responses, such as disabling compromised accounts, resetting passwords, and triggering further security measures.
In the face of increasingly stringent cyber insurance requirements, Netwrix remains committed to delivering robust security measures. “To help our customers face digital threats with confidence and ensure their eligibility for cyber insurance, we remain focused on delivering strong, consistent security measures across the entire on-premises and cloud infrastructure,” added Tweddle.
