Neon Cyber Emerges from Stealth with Browser-Level Security

Neon Cyber has launched a new Cybersecurity Platform designed to protect employees where they work—inside browsers and SaaS tools. The company’s Workforce Cybersecurity Platform (WCP) provides real-time defense against phishing, credential abuse, and unmanaged SaaS applications.

Founded by cybersecurity veterans Cody Pierce and Mark St. John, Neon Cyber brings decades of offensive and defensive expertise. AlphaWave acquired their previous venture in 2021.

“For too long, organizations have invested heavily in infrastructure protection while leaving people exposed. Now, with Neon, employees can have a security expert built into their browser, stopping threats before they get serious,” said Pierce.

Addressing the Human Risk in Cybersecurity

Research shows that 60% of breaches involve human error, with phishing and stolen credentials among the top entry points. Cyber’s platform integrates directly with browsers, creating a new enforcement layer between identity systems and end-users.

Key features include:

  • AI-powered phishing protection at the browser level.
  • SaaS governance tools to reduce sprawl and improve compliance.
  • Behavior-based authentication and policy enforcement.

The platform eliminates blind spots in browser activity, giving security teams real-time visibility without requiring complex integrations or special browsers.

“We built this company because we’re tired of the industry blaming the workforce – it’s time we actually protect them,” said St. John.

Industry Adoption and Partnerships

Organizations across healthcare, energy, and government are already using Cyber’s platform. Partners include DocGo, BP Energy, and the City of Danville, Illinois. Neon Cyber also partnered with Elastic to enhance enterprise threat detection.

Training and Technology in Workforce Security

Recent reporting on cybersecurity training shows phishing risks can be reduced by as much as 86% when employees receive consistent awareness education. Cyber’s Cybersecurity Workforce Platform builds on this idea by addressing threats where mistakes most often occur: the browser. The combination of improved human awareness and proactive technology creates a more resilient workforce, reducing the opportunities attackers exploit.
