Knowledge Drives Better Protection –
That’s the focus behind DynaRisk’s $4.7 million investment round, led by YFM Equity Partners. The London-based cyber risk firm will utilize the funds to accelerate its global expansion and expedite the development of its cybersecurity technology for insurers.
Backing Innovation in Cyber Risk Tools
Founded in 2016 by former banking security lead and self-taught hacker Andrew Martin, DynaRisk focuses on arming insurers with tools to tackle growing cyber threats. Its platform embeds threat intelligence into cyber insurance products to better protect individuals and SMEs.
“Brokers, MGAs and (re)insurers are rushing to tap the fast growing cyber insurance market,” said Martin. His company’s tools help policyholders prevent attacks before they happen.
Scaling Across Global Markets
The $4.7 million investment will help DynaRisk expand across EMEA, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company aims to scale its commercial and technical operations and meet global demand for digital risk solutions.
Embedded Intelligence for Insurers
DynaRisk’s platform includes dark web monitoring, vulnerability scanning, cybersecurity scores, and personalized mitigation guidance. These tools enable underwriters and claims teams to enhance data, increase premiums, decrease claims, and effectively engage policyholders.
Growing Client Base and Global Reach
The firm supports more than 25 insurance companies, reaching 2.4 million consumers and 800,000 SMEs. Clients include Chubb, SCOR, Arthur J. Gallagher, Beazley, BOXX Insurance, and Ridge Canada.
Board Expansion and Market Confidence
Phil Zeidler joins DynaRisk’s board, bringing deep InsurTech experience. His appointment signals growing investor confidence in DynaRisk’s direction and scalability. “DynaRisk has built impressive platforms and a client base in one of the fastest-growing segments of the insurance market,” said Matt Gordon-Smith, Investment Director at YFM.
A Smarter Future for Cyber Insurance
As cyber threats intensify, DynaRisk’s solutions position the company to lead innovation in the embedded insurance sector. This cybersecurity investment aims to empower more insurers, brokers, and MGAs to stay ahead of digital risks.
