Posted on June 18, 2024June 18, 2024 By Martin Hinton

Zywave, a leading insurtech provider, honored the cyber risk industry’s best individuals and firms at the 11th annual Cyber Risk Awards at Gotham Hall in New York City on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Everyone loves a good party, especially when it comes with awards and recognition for hard work—just ask the cybersecurity professionals who packed the house. Nearly 10,000 cyber industry professionals cast their votes, and the winners were announced at a sold-out, black-tie gala dinner for 480 attendees. INSUREtrust, Arete, Pondurance, Lyra Recovery, Epiq, The Beckage Firm, and CFC sponsored the event. Additionally, 50 of the industry’s top insurance and cybersecurity firms hosted tables in the room.

“We congratulate each winner as well as every nominee,” said Jeff Cohen, Zywave senior vice president. “These awards, determined by a democratic ‘People’s Choice’ voting process, reflect the respect and admiration that industry professionals have for the accomplishments of their colleagues. Special thanks to the thousands who voted as well as everyone who made this night of recognition a success.”

Since 2013, these awards have recognized the people and companies at the forefront of the cyber risk industry’s growth. Five individuals, including our inaugural Cyber Visionary Award and 12 companies, were recognized with awards bestowed during the evening.

Resilience has been honored as Cyber MGA of the Year in the 2024 Zywave Cyber Risk Awards, celebrating the company’s leadership in cyber risk solutions.

Resilience President Mario Vitale expressed gratitude to Intact Financial, HDI, and various partners, highlighting the team’s dedication to creating a data modeling platform that transforms cyber risk management. “Our focus is to drive better outcomes for our policyholders and business partners – and this recognition from our industry peers reflects our passion and dedication,” Vitale stated.

The company’s recent expansions include Technology Errors and Omissions (E&O) coverage and enhanced solutions like Breach & Attack Simulation (BAS) and Cyber Risk Profile Builder. Vitale emphasized the effectiveness of Resilience’s approach, noting that 96% of their Edge clients avoided any claim with incurred costs in 2023.

“Many carriers and MGAs solely focus on selecting the best risks for their portfolio. We go beyond portfolio risk management to the individual account level to help enterprises become cyber resilient,” added Vitale. Resilience’s recognition underscores its commitment to improving outcomes for policyholders and partners, driving innovation in the cyber risk industry.
