Howden has unveiled its expanded US cyber practice to address the rising demand for cyber liability insurance among corporate clients. The new initiative launches a senior leadership team specializing in brokerage, underwriting, claims, and cyber risk strategy, reflecting the increased threats posed by ransomware and business interruption events.

“Our own data shows that cyber protection more than pays for itself, generating a 19% return on investment, making the value proposition of cyber insurance clear,” said Ron Borys, Head of Financial Lines, Howden US.

Howden appointed six executives to lead the US cyber liability insurance platform:

  • Juliet White, Head of Cyber.
  • Lou Botticell, Cyber Brokerage Leader.
  • Jessica Daehler, Cyber Growth and Strategy Leader.
  • Suzane Gladle, Client Engagement and Service Leader.
  • David Hau, Private Equity and M&A Solutions Leader.
  • Natalia Santiago, Head of Cyber Claims.

Each executive brings more than 20 years of experience in cyber insurance. The team combines underwriting and brokerage perspectives.

“These hires reflect Howden’s strategy to invest and grow its cyber expertise globally, as we continue to deliver products and services, thought leadership and innovation for our 10,000 clients around the world,” said Shay Simkin, Chair, Cyber, Howden.

Broader Cyber Liability Insurance Capabilities

Along with helping clients get cyber liability insurance, the US cyber practice also offers claims support, product development, and cyber risk consulting. With this growth, Howden’s global cyber team now has over 150 specialists on five continents.

The company connects its coverage to better cyber hygiene and stronger incident response readiness.

Client-Level Decision Authority

Because the US team has decision-making authority, they can react quickly to new cyber threats and changes in the insurance market. This approach helps manage complex cyber liability insurance programs in different regions.

Mike Parrish, CEO, Howden US, added, “The team is empowered to innovate and make decisions at the client level, not corporate. The value of that agility can’t be overestimated in a space where client needs and pressures are constantly changing.”
