CRC Specialty Puts Cyber, Tech E&O And Professional Liability On One Form

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

One AI failure can reach several policies at once. CRC Specialty has put three of them on the same form.

CRC Group’s exclusive Insurisk platform launched Insurisk Cyber on 22 September. The product combines cyber liability, technology errors and omissions, and miscellaneous professional liability in a single policy form. A- or better AM Best-rated paper leads it.

Cyber And Tech E&O Insurance On One Form

The overlap between those lines drew attention this week. AXA XL and S-RM named four AI loss scenarios that engage different policies. An AI-related data breach is one. A defective output that causes third-party loss is another.

Insurisk Cyber answers from the distribution side. One form now carries three of the coverages a buyer would otherwise place separately.

Alex Bonds, Insurisk president, described the aim. The product brings “cyber liability, technology E&O, and professional liability coverage together under one form,” he said. CRC positions it for technology-driven organizations and businesses with complex technology E&O exposures.

That buyer sits where AI exposure lands first. Cyber Insurance News reported that AI exclusions were spreading faster outside cyber policies than inside them. Professional liability and tech E&O sit outside the cyber tower. Specialists have also built stand-alone cover, as with Armilla’s AI liability work with Trustible.

Combined Cyber Policy Comes With Monitoring

Policyholders receive active threat monitoring at no additional cost. Discounted services cover secure software development monitoring and ransomware and data theft monitoring. Security awareness and compliance tools round out the package.

Bundled security services have become a familiar feature of cyber cover. Coalition built its Active policy around ongoing monitoring. Insurisk Cyber brings that model to a combined form for technology firms.

Shannon Roth, Insurisk’s head of financial lines, joined from Coalition in March 2025. She pointed to underwriting as the other half. The product pairs broad coverage with “specialized underwriting,” she said.
