Cowbell, a cyber insurance provider for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced a collaboration with Microsoft and Ingram Micro to provide SMEs with complimentary Microsoft Exchange migrations to Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This partnership aims to empower SMEs to enhance their cybersecurity posture, reduce exposure to cyber risk threats, and earn a 5% premium credit at renewal by implementing essential security measures.
The collaboration will leverage the Cowbell Connector for Microsoft to facilitate a seamless transition to Microsoft 365. Cowbell will offer free cloud migration services to businesses in the US and UK. This will enable policyholders to improve their security posture and reduce cyber threat exposure. They will also earn a 5% premium credit at renewal by adopting essential security measures such as multi-factor authentication and Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365. Additionally, this partnership is designed to encourage the adoption of cyber insurance among SMEs.
“Cyberattacks Targeting SMEs”
“Cowbell is committed to strengthening our customers’ cybersecurity posture, particularly in light of the increasing frequency of cyberattacks targeting SMEs,” stated Manu Singh, Vice President of Risk Engineering at Cowbell. “We are excited to partner with Microsoft to provide valuable services and resources to our “policyholders.”
“As cybersecurity attacks continue to escalate, our vendor partners are collaborating to strengthen the community with security solutions that align with updated cyber insurance requirements,” remarked John Dusett, Executive Director & Category Leader, Cloud & Strategic Vendors at Ingram Micro. “Cyber insurance often serves as a business decision to financially protect a company in the event of a breach,” added Dusett.
Prior to the migration, each organization will undergo an evaluation of its current IT infrastructure. Ingram Micro’s partners will estimate the migration duration, averaging one week, once they determine the scope of the migration. Following the cloud migration, organizations can gain deeper insights into their cloud environment through Cowbell’s cyber platform.
