Cowbell has appointed Denise Pagliarulo as Senior Vice President and Head of Finance, and promoted Eric Biderman to General Counsel, as the company gears up to expand its operations. Cowbell, a leading cyber insurance provider for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and middle-market businesses, aims to grow its offerings and market reach globally.
Pagliarulo brings 20 years of insurance industry experience to her new role, where she will oversee Cowbell’s global finance operations. She previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Finance for North America at AXIS Capital, and held senior positions at American Safety Insurance and Deloitte. Cowbell CEO Jack Kudale expressed confidence in Pagliarulo’s ability to help lead the company through its next phase of growth, citing her extensive background in the industry. “We are thrilled to welcome Denise to Cowbell as we scale up our offerings in support of our vision to manage commercial digital risk for global SMEs,” Kudale said.
Additional Appointment
In addition to Pagliarulo’s appointment, Cowbell has promoted Eric Biderman to General Counsel, where he will continue to lead the company’s legal and regulatory compliance efforts. Biderman has been with Cowbell for three years and has helped expand the company’s operations to the UK and India, as well as establish key risk-bearing entities. Previously, he worked in private practice, most recently as Counsel in the Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group at an AmLaw Top 100 firm.
Kudale highlighted the company’s recent milestones, including closing its Series C funding round and expanding its US offerings to businesses with up to $1 billion in annual revenues. He believes Pagliarulo and Biderman’s leadership will be instrumental in accelerating Cowbell’s growth as the company scales its products, services, and geographic reach.
