Coalition, an insurance company focused on digital risk prevention, announced the integration of its Coalition Control platform with major cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Amazon Web Services. This new feature will allow businesses to connect their cloud services to Coalition Control, aiming to provide a more comprehensive view of their cybersecurity risks.
The integration enables users of Coalition Control and Coalition policyholders to link their cloud environments with the platform directly. Incorporating data from cloud services to help identify and mitigate issues such as unauthorized access and misconfigurations. This connectivity design aims to enhance the visibility of internal and external security vulnerabilities by incorporating data from cloud services, helping identify and mitigate issues such as unauthorized access and misconfigurations. It also allows businesses to check if they have enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA), a security measure Coalition finds effective in reducing the impact of cyber attacks.
“Cybersecurity Risk Management”
John Roberts, General Manager of Security at Coalition, commented on the update. “These integrations provide businesses with a more comprehensive insight into their cybersecurity risks, allowing them to manage and improve their security measures more effectively,” said Roberts. He noted that this development is crucial for businesses seeking to strengthen their cyber risk management.
Besides assessing risks, Coalition also conducts continuous monitoring through its Security Team, which collects data on common cybersecurity gaps that could lead to incidents. Coalition Control is a central hub for businesses to manage their cybersecurity strategies and understand their risk exposures.
Businesses have the option to connect their cloud accounts to these services, enabling enhanced cyber protection insights. However, these integrations are not mandatory for continuing the use of Coalition’s cyber risk management platform. This flexibility allows businesses to choose the level of integration that suits their needs.
