CFC, an insurance provider specializing in emerging risks and cyber insurance, has opened its first office in Spain, marking a significant expansion into Southern Europe. The new Madrid-based hub will help the company meet growing demand and strengthen relationships with broker partners across Spain, Italy, and France. This move follows earlier expansions in North America and Australia in 2024 as part of CFC’s global growth strategy.
“We’ve built a strong network of brokers throughout Spain and Southern Europe over the past two decades and are experiencing increasing demand for our products and services,” said Louise O’Shea, Group CEO of CFC. “Opening our new office in Madrid allows us to build a hub from which to grow our presence across Southern Europe, particularly deepening our expertise in cyber and transaction liability in the Spanish, Italian, and French markets.”
Regional Hub
To lead this new regional hub, CFC has appointed Filippo Cibin as Team Leader for Southern Europe. Cibin, with over a decade of experience in M&A and financial lines underwriting, will guide CFC’s growth in the region. Jorge Nieto Luque, Senior Underwriter specializing in transaction liability and legal insurance, and Oliver Berridge, an M&A underwriting expert fluent in French, will support him.
“CFC has a strong reputation for delivering outstanding service to brokers and their customers,” said Cibin. “By combining that service ethic with CFC’s technology and drive to innovate, I am confident that Jorge, Oliver, and I can add even greater value to our partners not only here in Spain but across Europe.”
Additionally, Ilaria Salvato has been named Cyber European Team Leader, bringing 14 years of experience in cyber underwriting.
