CFC has announced the departure of Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) Dan Trueman as part of a leadership restructuring.
CFC Restructures Underwriting Leadership as Trueman Exits
The specialist insurance provider conducted a strategic review and decided to reshape the CUO role to align with its global growth plans. As a result, Trueman is leaving the company.

CFC acknowledged Trueman’s contributions, particularly in strengthening its cyber insurance offerings. He played a key role in reviewing cyber products, including a launch expected in Q2 under Global Head of Cyber James Burns.
Trueman also supported talent development at CFC with recent leadership promotions, including Tim Boyce as Deputy CUO and Michael Brunero as Interim US Managing Director.
Trueman Reflects on His Tenure
In a company statement, Trueman expressed pride in his achievements at CFC, highlighting product launches and leadership development.
“I feel very proud of what we’ve managed to achieve since I joined CFC, including multiple product launches, continuing to enhance the value proposition to our clients and carriers, and supporting the development and succession of CFC’s underwriting leaders and their teams,” Trueman said.
CEO Praises Trueman’s Leadership
CFC CEO Louise O’Shea praised Trueman’s leadership, market expertise, and adaptability during a period of change. He stated in a company press release announcing the news, “We are very grateful to Dan for the stability, leadership, and deep market insight he has provided throughout his time here, as well as his flexibility, as the role evolved significantly during an intense period of change for CFC.”
CFC’s underwriting leadership team will take over Trueman’s responsibilities, with senior leaders stepping up to drive future growth.
