Upfort, a San Francisco-based cyber security and insurance platform, announced the addition of Brett Sadoff to its advisory board. Sadoff, previously head of insurance for At-Bay and an executive at HISCOX, brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance industry to Upfort’s team. His role will focus on guiding the company’s strategic vision and enhancing its mission of providing customers with cyber resilience.
With a career that spans cyber security and insurance leadership positions at At-Bay, where he was a board director of ABSIC and oversaw insurance programs and underwriting for the cyber insurance MGA, Sadoff has a background in developing insurance solutions and leading underwriting teams. Before his tenure at At-Bay, he spent over ten years at Hiscox and also held a senior position at AIG.
Strategic Initiative
“I am thrilled to join Upfort and help advise the team on lowering the cost of cyber risk and creating value for its insurance partners,” said Sadoff. Xing Xin, CEO and co-founder of Upfort, stated, “Brett is an outstanding leader in the insurance space, and we’re proud to welcome him to Upfort.” Xin highlighted Sadoff’s experience in leading underwriting teams and his potential impact on the company’s strategic initiatives.
The announcement of Sadoff’s appointment follows several milestones for Upfort. These include partnerships with Arch Insurance and the Washington Hospitality Association. They also received an $8 million Series A funding round led by SYN Ventures. These developments indicate Upfort’s growth trajectory and its commitment to advancing cyber security and insurance solutions.
