Imagine the early days of property and casualty insurance. An underwriter might have refused to insure a factory stacked with matches. Yet that same insurer might have escorted the owner to a sprinkler installer to reduce the fire threat and make the risk insurable. That may be a simple, imagined analogy. But cyber insurers now echo that model as the tech age is just breaking dawn. BOXX Insurance introduced Cyberboxx® Assist with that logic in mind, linking protection services directly to insurance coverage as digital risks expand.
Christyn Yoast, BOXX’s US president, said recent outages showed how non-criminal failures can disrupt the internet’s backbone. “Pairing cyber prevention services with your insurer is a win-win, as there’s a shared interest to reduce the likelihood of a claim and to keep our clients operational,” said Yoast.
BOXX Expands Prevention-Focused Cyber Services
BOXX Insurance announced Cyberboxx® Assist, a new suite of cybersecurity tools and services built to strengthen digital resilience for individuals and small businesses. The platform delivers always-on protection against cyber attacks and outages tied to central cloud and infrastructure providers.
Key Capabilities: Target Supply Chain and Infrastructure Risk
Cyberboxx® Assist gives policyholders access to:
- 24/7 cybersecurity support, including a Virtual CISO for small firms
- Attack surface management and ID protection
- Cyber awareness training to reduce human error
- Security policy templates and guided support for everyday digital mishaps
“Most small businesses run on cloud platforms and connected tools, and when those systems fail, the business grinds to a halt,” said Neal Jardine, BOXX’s Chief Cyber Intelligence and Claims Officer. He said the service provides enterprise-grade visibility and continuous protection.
Market Expansion and White-Label Distribution
BOXX will offer Cyberboxx® Assist directly, as a standalone product, or in white-label form through banks, insurers, telecom companies, and travel brands. These sectors increasingly bundle cybersecurity protections to counter online fraud and identity theft.
Yoast said major brands are adopting BOXX’s “predict and prevent” approach because they lack the technology and expertise to build such services themselves.
