Beazley, a leading specialty insurer, has appointed Patricia Kocsondy as the Head of Global Cyber Digital Risks. Kocsondy will be responsible for shaping the global product and distribution strategy for Beazley’s cyber business under $250 million. This strategic move aims to ensure that Beazley’s products and services cater to the needs of companies in this segment.
Kocsondy is currently Head of US Cyber and Technology. A role she has had since 2021. She brings over a decade of experience as a cyber underwriter to her new position. Her expertise will play a crucial role in aligning Beazley’s high-touch, large business cyber risks with the digitization excellence delivered by the Digital division. This synergy will provide an easily accessible and tailored service to businesses in the sub $250 million market.
The announcement comes as Beazley’s cyber underwriting continues to experience significant growth, underwriting over $1 billion of cyber premium globally. Anticipating further expansion in the sub $250 million market, Beazley aims to leverage Kocsondy’s leadership to enhance its cyber offerings for this vital business segment.

As part of this transition, the search for Kocsondy’s replacement as Head of US Cyber and Technology will commence immediately. The move signifies Beazley’s commitment to staying at the forefront of cyber insurance. Beazley’s appointment takes effect on January 1, 2024.
