Bitsight Launches AI Cybersecurity Tool to Accelerate Vendor Risk Assessments

Posted on January 23, 2025January 23, 2025 By Martin Hinton

We’ve written about the good and bad of AI cybersecurity tools recently. On the heel of that Bitsight has introduced “Instant Insights,” an AI-based feature that automates the analysis of security documents such as SOC 2 reports. Part of the Bitsight IQ suite, this AI cybersecurity tool aims to simplify and speed up vendor risk assessments by providing actionable summaries in seconds.

Manual review of security attestations has long been a bottleneck for compliance and security teams managing vendor relationships. According to Bitsight, Instant Insights reduces document review time from hours to minutes, helping teams manage high volumes of vendor assessments with the AI cybersecurity tool providing limited resources.

Futuristic illustration of an AI cybersecurity tool featuring a glowing AI brain made of interconnected circuits and data streams, hovering above a stack of SOC 2 documents. The background includes a gradient of blue and green tones with subtle shield icons and binary code, symbolizing digital security and trust.

“Instant Insights” extracts, summarizes and highlights key risks, compliance gaps, and exceptions from SOC 2 reports. Users can integrate the feature within the Vendor Risk Management (VRM) platform and scale their assessments across multiple vendors using this tool.

Key Features of AI Cybersecurity Tool Include:
  • Faster Processing: Speeds up analysis of lengthy security reports.
  • Actionable Data: Identifies compliance issues and risks.
  • Scalability: Enables bulk analysis of SOC 2 reports.
  • AI-Powered Integration: Uses large language models focusing on data privacy and security.

Current Bitsight VRM customers can activate the feature for free through their account settings. Bitsight plans to release additional AI-driven capabilities in the Bitsight IQ suite, including more AI cybersecurity tools, throughout 2025.
