Cyber Risk Background and Industry Experience
Porter joins Cowbell from CNA Hardy, where he spent three years underwriting technology and cyber portfolios across multiple regions. He began his career as an underwriting assistant at Clegg Gifford & Co.
Simon Hughes, SVP, Global Distribution at Cowbell, said Porter’s experience would support the company’s expansion in the UK middle market. “James’s expertise will help as we continue building a team with deep market knowledge, ensuring that Cowbell remains a trusted partner to businesses navigating complex cyber risks,” said Hughes.
Porter said he aims to work with partners to improve cyber insurance availability for businesses of all sizes.
