Option3, a cybersecurity private equity firm, has named Karl P. Kilb III as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for its ENIGMA Zero Trust platform. He brings over 30 years of experience, including 22 years at Bloomberg LP, where he established its global legal department and led enterprise sales.
Kilb emphasized ENIGMA’s role in tackling critical cybersecurity issues, stating, “Option3 is at the forefront of addressing difficult cybersecurity challenges that America must get right – from critical infrastructure to the automotive sector, and more broadly to areas like cyber insurance. My experience establishing new sectors aligns with this mission. I’m eager to accelerate ENIGMA’s success at a time when the adoption of Zero Trust must be a priority for companies and our country.”
“Range of Experiences”
Option3’s Managing Partner, Manish Thakur, praised Kilb’s unique skill set, saying, “Karl brings Option3 a range of experiences essential to introducing new technologies and products in the market. His ability to scale enterprise-wide sales, secure intellectual property, and close major agreements makes him a rare and invaluable addition to our team.”
ENIGMA specializes in protecting Operational Technology (OT) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks using Zero Trust principles. Organizations such as NATO and the White House Communications Agency have already deployed its technology. The platform now targets commercial markets, starting with healthcare.
Option3 combines decades of investment expertise with national security insights to build leading cybersecurity platforms. ENIGMA reflects this vision, aligning with President Biden’s executive order mandating the adoption of Zero Trust.
