Canopius Group, a global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, bolsters its cyber and technology team with the appointment of Chris Getty as Cyber and Technology Underwriter. With immediate effect, Chris will enhance Canopius’ cyber expertise and report directly to Mike Shen, Head of Cyber and technology, London Market.
Chris Getty brings over nine years of cyber insurance experience to Canopius, previously serving as Head of Cyber and Technology at Talbot Underwriting. At Talbot, Chris led the London and New York underwriting teams. He began his career at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP and is a qualified solicitor.
This appointment is part of a series of strategic hires within Canopius’ Cyber and Technology division. Earlier this year, Sam Minshaw was appointed Cyber Claims Manager, and Alex Fyfe joined as Cyber Claims Adjuster in March. Additionally, Catherine Sims was appointed Cyber Claims Adjuster in New York, further strengthening Canopius’ global capabilities.
