Global insurance group Howden announced the appointment of Jean Bayon de La Tour as International Head of Cyber. The move marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to meet the increasing demand for insurance solutions against cyber-attacks.
The move comes in a rising threat landscape. The cyber market is predicted to surge from USD 12 billion in 2012 to USD 50 billion by 2030. That is according to Howden’s recently released 2023 Cyber Report.
Growth of the Cyber Insurance Market
Jean Bayon de La Tour brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has a background in banking. He led Marsh’s Cyber broking operations in France. Then later served as Managing Director and Head of Cyber for Marsh Europe. Based in Spain, he will report to Shay Simkin, Group Global Head of Cyber at Howden.
Simkin emphasized Howden’s commitment to supporting clients in navigating the evolving threat environment. “Our strategy is to attract the best talent in the market, and we are delighted to welcome Jean to the Howden family.
