Global insurance provider CFC has promoted two senior leaders to unify its cyber and proactive security teams worldwide.
James Burns Named Global Head of Cyber Insurance
CFC has promoted James Burns to Global Head of Cyber, a newly created role. Burns, who has been with CFC for 12 years, has led the company’s cyber strategy for the past two years.
Burns will oversee cyber strategy, underwriting, and sales across all global markets. He aims to create a unified approach to cyber operations, ensuring consistency in CFC’s expanding markets across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
“Our cyber team has grown significantly, and unifying our global team ensures we continue delivering top-tier products and services,” said Burns.

Jason Hart Becomes Managing Director of Proactive & Global Security Services
CFC has also promoted Jason Hart to Managing Director Proactive & Global Security Services. Hart, a cybersecurity expert with over 20 years of experience, joined CFC as Head of Proactive Cyber last year.
Hart will lead CFC’s global proactive security operations in this expanded role, integrating teams in the UK, US, and Australia, including CFC’s Solis security division.
“A global operating model enhances transparency and knowledge-sharing, supporting CFC’s growth,” Hart said, emphasizing the importance of cross-border collaboration.
Strategic Growth and Organizational Changes
Group CEO Louise O’Shea said that CFC’s global leadership changes align with the company’s global expansion and evolving structure.
“We have a talented team, and these promotions strengthen our ability to serve clients worldwide,” O’Shea stated.
